The Emir of Gusau, Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Bello, has died at the age of 71.His passing was confirmed by Hon. Kabiru Amadu, the lawmaker representing Gusau/Tsafe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
According to him, the emir died in an Abuja hospital after a prolonged illness.Born in 1954, Dr. Ibrahim Bello was appointed the 15th Emir of Gusau on March 16, 2015, following the death of his brother and predecessor, Alhaji Muhammad Kabiru Danbaba, who passed away on March 5, 2015.
His appointment was made by the then Governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari.Funeral arrangements are yet to be announced.
