Celebrity auto dealer, Ikechukwu Ogbonna, popularly known as IVD, has reportedly been arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.
According to reports, IVD was apprehended and detained on Friday by the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions while attempting to travel to Qatar, where he was expected to tie the knot with controversial relationship coach, Blessing CEO.
Commenting on the incident via Instagram on Saturday, journalist Stella Dimoko-Korkus disclosed that the arrest is connected to the ongoing legal case involving the death of IVD’s late wife, Bimbo Ogbonna.
“The domestic violence case concerning his late wife is still before the court. IVD is not permitted to leave the country until the matter is resolved,” Dimoko-Korkus stated.
GIST9JA recalls that Bimbo Ogbonna tragically died in October 2022 from injuries sustained in a fire incident at their Lagos home, reportedly linked to domestic violence.
The Lagos State Government later charged IVD with one count of involuntary manslaughter in case No. LD/21055C/23.
