American Woman Accuses Nigerian Husband, Family of $80,000 Marriage Fraud

A 55-year-old American woman has accused her 26-year-old Nigerian husband and his family of deception, alleging that she was tricked into marriage under false pretences and defrauded of $80,000.

The woman, who withheld her full identity, claimed the man misrepresented himself during their relationship, with his family allegedly complicit in the scheme.

In a series of emotional outbursts, she condemned the actions of both her husband and his relatives.

“His father is a deacon at church and raising a monster like this. How do you go to church and pray to God, then take money from me and marry me under false pretence?” she lamented.

She further alleged that she supported the man financially, ensuring he lived comfortably, only for him to allegedly engage with other women while scheming with his sister.

“Till my last breath, I’m going to make sure this Igbo man, his sister, and his family pay for what they did to me. You don’t take my money — eighty thousand dollars — and then go ahead entertaining other women. People should be careful, because he is looking for the next victim.”

The woman vowed to pursue justice against the man and his family, warning others to beware of similar scams.
