The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has released ticket prices for the crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier between the Super Eagles and Rwanda’s Amavubi, scheduled for Saturday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo. Kick-off is set for 5 p.m. local time.
According to the NFF, fans will pay ₦1,000 for seats in the popular stand and ₦2,000 for access to the VIP section. Tickets will be sold at designated centres across Uyo starting Friday, with officials anticipating a full stadium for the Group C encounter.
The fixture is vital for Nigeria, who have had a shaky start to the qualifiers. The three-time African champions currently sit on seven points from six matches, having dropped valuable points against Lesotho and Zimbabwe. Their last home outing ended in a disappointing 1-1 draw with Zimbabwe.
Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, who plies his trade with Besiktas in Turkey, emphasized the importance of Saturday’s clash, warning that failure to secure victory could end Nigeria’s World Cup hopes.
“If we let it slip, it’s finished. If we let the Rwanda game slip, there’s nothing like rivalry in South Africa,” Ndidi told reporters in Uyo.
The match is widely regarded as a must-win for the Super Eagles to revive their qualification campaign and keep their 2026 World Cup dream alive.
