A disturbing video circulating online has sparked widespread concern after it captured a group of female students from Seat of Wisdom Secondary School in Aliade, Benue State, physically assaulting a fellow student.
The 48-second clip, which surfaced on Monday, shows several girls dressed in pink tops and matching skirts forcefully pulling at the victim’s uniform while laughing and recording the incident.
The footage was shared by Mobilising Nigerians, an X (formerly Twitter) page known for posting content related to security and social issues. In its post, the page alleged that the attackers not only stripped the victim but also recorded and took photos during the incident, calling on relevant authorities to urgently investigate and take action.
“This is deeply troubling. Authorities must step in to ensure justice is served and to protect the dignity and safety of the victim,” the post stated, emphasizing that the assaulted student is “someone’s daughter.”
Seat of Wisdom Secondary School is reportedly a government-owned institution located in Mbalav Ward of Gwer East Local Government Area in Benue State.
The identity of the victim remains unknown as of the time of reporting, and it is unclear what triggered the incident. However, the video has raised serious concerns about bullying, student safety, and supervision in schools.
Observers have called on education authorities and law enforcement agencies to thoroughly probe the matter, ensure accountability for those involved, and provide necessary support to the affected student.
