OnlyFans content creator Maeurn Smiles is using money earned from the subscription platform to fulfil a lifelong dream of expanding access to education by building a school and learning centre in the Philippines.
The social media personality revealed that the project is deeply personal, explaining that she had always hoped to become a teacher but was unable to pursue higher education because her family could not afford to send her to college.
Lifelong Dream of Becoming a Teacher
Speaking about her journey, Maeurn said her passion for education began long before her online career.
Although financial challenges prevented her from earning a teaching degree, she still found an opportunity to work in education by teaching English to Chinese students.
However, her career later took a different direction as she built a successful presence on the internet, allowing her to generate enough income to pursue her long-term goal of helping children access quality education.
Purchased Land to Build School
In 2024, Maeurn invested 1.75 million Philippine pesos to purchase land in Cebu, where she intends to build a permanent school for children in the community.
While construction of the main school is still ongoing, she has already taken the first step by opening a smaller learning centre in 2025.
The centre provides children with interactive educational opportunities, including science experiments, cooking sessions and other hands-on learning activities designed to make education engaging and practical.
Why She Decided to Fund the Project Herself
Maeurn disclosed that she originally intended to donate the land to the government and allow public authorities to construct and manage the school.
However, she changed her mind after learning that she would not be permitted to name the school after her late father—a tribute she considered deeply important.
Rather than abandon the idea, she decided to finance the project herself and personally oversee its development.
According to Maeurn, the decision enables her to honour her father while ensuring the school reflects the educational vision she has always wanted to bring to life.
Her initiative has attracted attention online, with many people praising her for using her earnings to invest in education and create learning opportunities for children in her local community.
