Social media activist VeryDarkMan, popularly known as VDM, has challenged the General Overseer of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, to place a curse on him, following the cleric’s claim that anyone he curses becomes useless for life.
VDM, who reacted to Ibiyeomie’s controversial remarks, accused the pastor of using fear and religious manipulation to intimidate church members and social media critics.
The activist dared the cleric to publicly identify individuals he had previously cursed, insisting that his claims were untrue.
“All the social media people that you have cursed, call their names, I dare you. You are a liar,” VDM said.
He further accused some pastors of creating the impression among their followers that they possess supernatural powers, arguing that such claims had been used to influence and intimidate worshippers, particularly mothers.
VDM also questioned the practice of threatening church members with hardship or misfortune when they fail to pay tithes and offerings.
Citing the Bible, he argued that Christians were instructed to bless those who persecute them rather than pronounce curses on them.
“The Bible say bless those who prosecute you, bless them and not curse. You people are not God,” he said.
The social media activist also challenged Ibiyeomie over his alleged claim that he gave God $1 million, questioning the circumstances surrounding the reported donation, particularly what he described as the pastor’s financial situation at the time.
VDM concluded his reaction by describing the cleric as a liar and daring him to demonstrate the power he claimed to possess by placing a curse on him.
