Argentina head coach Lionel Scaloni has announced his first squad since the reported retirement of captain Lionel Messi from international football last month.
Messi is said to have brought his international career to an end after scoring what was described as his final goal for Argentina in a friendly encounter against the Benin Republic.
Following the development, Scaloni has selected a squad featuring several established stars, including Julian Alvarez, Enzo Fernandez and Lisandro Martinez.
However, Tottenham Hotspur defender Cristian Romero was left out of the selection reportedly due to an injury.
Argentina are scheduled to face Uruguay next week before taking on Costa Rica four days later.
