Fury called out Joshua for a “battle of Britain” fight via a video he posted on his Twitter account on Monday.
He acknowledged the beltless status of Joshua, and called him out to challenge him for his WBC belt.
Joshua, via a tweet, responded him, saying he does not do online talks for attention, and that if Fury is seriously interested in getting into the ring, he should contact the right authorities.
He tweeted, “Yea calm. I don’t do the online discussions just for clout, so if your really about it shout @258mgt. I’ll be ready in December. Khalas”
Fury last fought in April, defeating Dillian Whyte and had hinted his retirement from boxing.
However, Fury believes that fans want to see a high-profile bout in the ring and had wanted to face Usyk but the Ukrainian ruled out any fight this year, prompting the Brit to turn to Joshua for a potential heavyweight fight.
