Fr Kelvin Ugwu: I pray you become so rich to the extent of spending half a billion naira on the purchase of one car just like Davido

You know money can be so annoying to get and so frustrating that it is good to get to that level where you will be able to take revenge on money, by annoying and frustrating it…spending it anyhow and reminding it that you are still the boss.

We read that Davido spent more than half a billion naira to buy and fly his 2023 Maybach Virgil Abloh to Nigeria. We are talking about half a BILLION naira here. Helloooooo!

Repeat after me:

My Father My Father…
I will never be poor in my life…
All you spirit of poverty
Only goesssss faya!

Ok, it is enough…

That advert guy called Ola of Lagos said we should stop playing.

So, let’s get serious. . .

Davido’s car has four tires.
It has one steering.
It has an accelerator and brake.
Four seats.
Normal seat belts.
A normal car horn.
Break lights and headlights.
It can only be driven on land.

The above is found in every normal four-seater car. They are the major things. Without them, the car is incomplete. Your small car has them.

The side attractions in Davido’s car include:

  1. Two trays by the seats if you want to eat or press the laptop…(Do you think Davido will use this?)
  2. Two small TV screens hanging behind the front seats. (Has he finished pressing his phone?)
  3. One small fridge that can’t carry five bottles of wine…(this one is funny.)
  4. One wireless phone charger, abi na two… (wireless or not, every car of today, has a charging point.)
  5. A sunshade roof, controlled by the waving of the hands…(like children playing window.)
  6. High-sounding speakers…(better than the one in the club?)
  7. V-12 engine (where will he drive V-12 to? Ok, from his house to Psquare’s house? He will under-use the engine.)

If I tell you right now that even Davido, after about four months of owning that car has realized that it is just a car, with little negligible difference, and that it is just the brand name that he was buying… You will not believe me, you will say I am talking like a poor priest in the bushes of West Africa.

Agreed!

I pray we all get there because that is the only way we will realize that there is nothing there.”
