Algeria To Supply Electricity To Niger Republic For Free – Adamu Garba

An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Adamu Garba, has claimed that Algeria has decided to supply free electricity to the Niger Republic.

Gists9ja recalls that the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) had cut off the power supply to the embattled country.

TUC Kano State sub-region Public Relations Officer, Adam Umar El-yandiski, confirmed the news to Channels Television via phone call.

According to him, the connection that supplies power to Niger Republic comes directly from the national grid, therefore, it has no connection with the supply of power to any region in the country.

The move was part of pressure on the country’s coup leaders.

However, speaking via his Twitter handle on Friday, Garba stated that Niger had gotten an alternative to its power supply issues.

According to the APC stalwart, Niger will now receive power supply from Algeria.

He wrote, “Algeria is to supply electricity to Niger Republic for free.”
