Adamawa State command of the Nigeria Police Force has arrested one Linus Dimas, 43, for allegedly stabbing a court clerk to death.
The Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Sulaiman Nguroje, revealed in a statement on Tuesday that the resident of Kugama Wuro Jibir in Mayo Belwa Local Government Area of Adamawa State committed the crime after he refused to accept a court summons served on him by a staff member of Nasarawo Jereng Area Court, Yauba Usman.
The suspect reportedly stabbed Usman multiple times with a knife, resulting in severe injuries.
Unfortunately, despite being rushed to the hospital, the court clerk succumbed to his injuries.
The State Commissioner of Police, Afolabi Babata, has ordered a discreet investigation into the case.
