Frontline socio-cultural organization, the Anambra Central People’s Forum (made up of well-meaning professionals of various calling, Traditional Leaders, the Clergies, Presidents-General, Youths and Captains of industries), has lauded Rt. Hon. George Ozodinobi (AJA-AJANZE), Deputy Minority Whip of the House of Representatives and Member Representing Anaocha, Njikoka and Dunukofia Federal Constituency for supporting Igbo Language Education.
The Grand Finale of the Igbo Essay Competition which took place on Friday, 17th November, 2023 at the Auditorium of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, was a significant gathering for the Igbo nation as many prominent Igbo sons and daughters, including the Presidents-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Anambra State chapter; Honourable Commissioner of Education, Anambra State; Senator High Chief (Dr.) Ben Ndi Obi, CON, amongst other dignataries, graced the noble Igbo event.
In a Press Release made available to journalists in Awka, and signed by its Chairman, Achebe Chris, Esq., the Group said; “We are happy to note that Rt. Hon. George Ozodinobi’s philanthropic support to Igbo Language Education, has brought positive energy in moulding the younger generation to build capacity in the area of Igbo speaking, writing and research for sustained growth of the Igbo race in time and eternity”.
The Group also described Ozodinobi as accomplished Igbophile, notable Philanthropist, humanist and astute legislator who has the best interest of Igbo nation at heart, and has provided quality and result-oriented representation of his Constituency at the National Assembly.
The Convener of the Group, Achebe Chris, Esq., in a statement pointed out the need for other lawmakers and public office holders to emulate the exemplary leadership style and public conduct of the Federal Lawmaker.
Also speaking, one of the Patrons of the reputable Group, revered and respected Stakeholder of Anaocha and former Vice-Chancellor, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Professor Pita Ejiofor commended the Federal Lawmaker for supporting the Igbo Language Education which will help the students in getting a better sense of their cultural background, adding that Rt. Hon. George Ozodinobi’s name and sterling performances in the public sphere has continued to pierce spaces in Igboland nay Nigeria.
On his part, The Most Revd. Prof. Godwin Okpala (JP, OON), Emeritus Archbishop of Nnewi(Anglican Communion), who hails from Adazi-Ani in Anaocha Local Government Area, remarked: “We will continue to stand by you and encourage you to continue to do more for your constituents and provide quality representation and selfless service to Ndigbo”.
The Group commended Ozodinobi for his commitment to serving his well-meaning constituents.
