The eight teams who have dropped from the Champions League to the Europa League this season have been confirmed.
Confirmed in third place are: Ajax, Barcelona, Juventus, Leverkusen, Salzburg, Sevilla, Shakhtar and Sporting CP.
They all go straight into the Europa League knockout round play-offs.
If they win the two-legged ties, the clubs will qualify for the last-16 of the competition.
Those two matches will be played on February 16 and February 23, 2023.
Confirmed in fourth place: Atlético, Celtic, Copenhagen, Dinamo Zagreb, Maccabi Haifa, Marseille, Plzeň, Rangers.
These teams are out of European competitions altogether.
