AFCON 2023: Troost-Ekong Wins Most Valuable Player [MVP] Award

Super Eagles defender, William Troost-Ekong was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Troost-Ekong scored three goals in six appearances for Nigeria in the competition.

The 30-year-old was also a rock for the Super Eagles at the back.

The Super Eagles lost 2-1 against hosts Cote d’Ivoire in the final of the competition.

Equatorial Guinea forward, Emilio Nsue won the top scorer award.

Nsue scored five goals in the competition.

South Africa’s Rowen Williams won the Goalkeeper of the Tournament award.
