Hon. Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori, the Governor of Delta State.
The redeployment of Gloria Igumbor from her position as the Director of Nursing Services at the Ministry of Health to the State Agency for the Control of AIDS signifies a momentous turning point. This move, seen as a liberation for nurses and nursing students across Delta State, heralds a new era of hope, opportunity, and reform within the nursing profession.
Furthermore, the appointment of Dr. Gloria Bassey as the Provost of the College of Nursing, Eku, Delta State, Nigeria, rather than the initially proposed position in Agbor, is a testament to the administration’s commitment to placing merit, excellence, and the well-being of the community at the forefront of their decision-making processes. This strategic deployment aligns with the vision of enhancing the quality of nursing education and with the broader objectives of fostering a more transparent, equitable, and progressive healthcare system in Delta State.
