NIGERIA’S woman of substance , and one of the finest legal luminaries of our time, Hon Justice Oludotun Adebola Adefope-Okojie JCA is expected to be the KEYNOTE SPEAKER at the forthcoming Annual INTEGRITY LECTURE AND AWARDS CONFERENCE. According to the Press Statement signed by the President of Nigerian Association of Christian Journalists (NACJ) Dr Charles Tola Okhai, the Conference with the theme, INTEGRITY IS EVERYTHING. Dr Charles explained that the association has the tradition of picking well bred eminent Nigerians with a high profile of Integrity and Patriotism for the role of a Keynote Speaker at their Conferences. Our choice of Her Lordship, Hon Justice Oludotun Adebola Adefope-Okojie JCA is informed by among other things that she is a former recipient of the prestigious INTEGRITY Award and a a prominent member of the First Ever INTEGRITY HALL OF FAME in Nigeria institutionalized by the Association.
The essence of the Conference is to sensitive leaders across the boards to imbibe the spirit of Integrity and Patriotism to ensure the developmental progress of our nation. The topic of the Keynote Address is titled: “INTEGRITY AND PATRIOTISM, KEY VITAL FACTORS TO BUILDING A VIRILE NATION “
Hon Justice Oludotun Adebola Adefope-Okojie JCA retired from the Bench recently amidst a colorful valedictory Court session which was held in her honor at the lagos Division of the Court of Appeal. She was described as a sterling example of a jurist in the finest traditions of the Bench.
She is known for her brilliance, diligence forthrightness and high sense of Integrity and Patriotism. Her 27 years at the Bench were marked with hard work, sagacity and impeccable judicial pronouncements right from the Lagos State High Court to the Court of Appeal.
She is the author of the book titled, CIVIL LITIGATION, a quick reference guide to substantive Law and Procedure. The insightful book now in its second edition is an eloquent testimony to her industry and energy as a judicial officer. In her words during valedictory Court session she said, ” A Country seeking foreign investment must get its Court system functional, accelerated and receptive to the needs of the people”.
