BREAKING: Ekiti Chief Judge, Adeyeye Is Dead

Justice Oyewole Adeyeye, the Chief Judge of Ekiti State, has passed away following a brief illness.

The Chief Registrar of the Ekiti State Judiciary, Olanike Adegoke, confirmed the news on Tuesday.

In a statement issued by the judiciary’s Public Relations Officer, Michael Oba, Adegoke honored the late Chief Judge, calling him “a distinguished jurist committed to the ideals of fairness, equity, and justice.”

“The late Chief Judge’s contributions to the judiciary and to Ekiti State are beyond measure. His legacy will be greatly missed,” Adegoke said.

Justice Adeyeye, born in 1960 in Araromi Ugbesi, Ekiti East Local Government Area, was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 1986.

He assumed the position of Chief Judge of Ekiti State in October 2021 and served with dedication until his death.
