Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has once again set unrealistic expectations for the upcoming election results, insisting that they should be available on election night. “We want the answer tonight,” the 78-year-old stated during his final rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan, a key battleground state.
In the lead-up to the election, Trump has stoked fears of electoral fraud with unsubstantiated claims. He is competing against Democrat Kamala Harris, and the race is anticipated to be closely contested.
It remains unclear whether the election results can be confirmed just hours after polls close, particularly due to delays related to mail-in ballots in some states.
It’s worth noting that after the 2020 presidential election, Trump had prematurely declared himself the winner on election night and called for an end to the vote count while he was temporarily ahead of Joe Biden.
