Kidnappers Demand N300 Million Ransom for Toddler and Siblings in Kaduna

Suspected kidnappers have reportedly demanded a ransom of N300 million for the release of four children they abducted in Kaduna State. The kidnappers made contact with the children’s father, Adamu, and threatened to kill the children if he fails to meet their demand.

Adamu, a resident of Keke A in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna, shared the harrowing details of the incident, revealing that the kidnappers insisted on the N300 million ransom. He said the criminals also warned that they would kill the youngest child, a toddler, because he had been crying during the abduction.

“They called me and demanded N300 million, and when I pleaded with them, I could hear the children being beaten in the background. I need prayers,” Adamu explained, clearly distressed by the ordeal.

The children were reportedly kidnapped on Tuesday night while Adamu was away visiting his wife, who had been at the hospital tending to their sick twins. Adamu expressed his deep concern, as he is now faced with the difficult task of trying to secure the release of his children, while also fearing for their safety as the kidnappers continue to threaten them.

The authorities have yet to comment on the development, but this incident highlights the increasing security challenges in Kaduna State, where abductions for ransom have become a serious issue. Local residents and concerned individuals have been urged to keep the family in their prayers, as they hope for the children’s safe return.
