The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) officially launched its computer-based recruitment tests on Saturday, marking the beginning of a rigorous selection process for various positions within the state-owned oil firm.
According to a statement posted on NNPCL’s official Facebook account, a total of 45,689 applicants are competing for the available vacancies.
NNPCL emphasized that the recruitment exercise would be transparent and inclusive, with the selection process designed to choose only the most qualified candidates. “As the Computer-Based Aptitude Test for NNPC Ltd.’s recruitment begins today at various centres across the country, 45,689 applicants compete in a transparent and inclusive recruitment process,” the statement read.
Mele Kyari, the NNPCL Group Chief Executive Officer, visited one of the test centers and reiterated the company’s commitment to ensuring a smooth, transparent, and fair recruitment process. He assured the public that only the most qualified individuals would be selected for employment. “As an equal opportunity employer, NNPC Ltd. has made special provisions to ensure that applicants with disabilities can take the test without any hindrance,” Kyari stated, highlighting the firm’s efforts to accommodate all applicants.
This recruitment exercise follows an earlier announcement in July 2024 by the NNPCL spokesman, confirming the commencement of a fresh round of recruitment for various roles within the organization.
