In a shocking and heartbreaking incident, Adesoji Johnson Adeleye, the Chief Executive Officer of Klass Five Hotel in Akure, Ondo State, has been gruesomely murdered.
Gists9ja reports that the well-known businessman and socialite was killed inside his own hotel, located in the Arakale area of the state capital.
According to reports, Adeleye’s lifeless body was discovered in one of the hotel’s guest rooms. Sources familiar with the situation revealed that his assailants broke into the room while he was still awake and carried out the fatal attack.
“He was overpowered, stabbed multiple times, and left to die,” a close friend of the deceased disclosed anonymously. “We had gone out the night before and planned to see each other in the morning. It’s devastating to lose him in such a cruel and senseless manner.”
A family member confirmed that the incident has been reported to the police, who have since cordoned off the crime scene for investigation. The body of the victim has been taken to a morgue, and several individuals have been invited for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the Ondo State Police Command, SP Olayinka Ayanlade, stated, “Yes, a middle-aged man was killed on the premises of a hotel. A team of detectives has already been dispatched to the scene, and an investigation is underway. We are actively pursuing leads and will ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice.”
Ayanlade further noted that the case has been transferred to the state headquarters for a more in-depth investigation. He assured the public of the police command’s commitment to resolving the matter swiftly and thoroughly.
The tragic murder of Adeleye comes just weeks after another high-profile killing in Akure. Mrs. Olakunbi Adene, a prominent caterer and socialite, was recently found murdered, and her case led to the arrest of three domestic workers. The suspects were apprehended after the police traced her stolen phones to locations in Akure and Idanre.
