The people of Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area have decried the sectional government of the Peoples Democratic Party-led Ugwuanyi government in Enugu State which has concentrated development to Orba community, the hometown of the sitting governor to the exclusion of other communities in Nsukka zone.
A woman leader Mrs. Ezeagu Susana, youth leaders; Otenyi Chinedu, Ezechi Kelvin, Ugwu Ndidi Amaka Judith, Nnadi Uchenna and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Igbo-Etiti LGA chairman, Nnadi Uchenna took turns to express their frustration at the PDP-led government during a town hall meeting with the APGA governorship candidate, Frank Nweke Jr.
The people complained of lack of basic amenities like water, maternity centers, roads, schools and so on. They pointed to the very bad state of their roads which are in sharp contrast to the new one provided by the governor in his home town of Orba.
In line with his vow to the people of Enugu State as documented in his manifesto, Nweke reiterated that the entire Enugu State is his constituency hence he will ensure equity and fair play in his government. Amenities would be deployed according to needs. He assured the good people of Igbo-Etiti that they will get their due share with him as governor. He would ensure that local governments funds are used to serve the people.
