A renowned Indian-born international Islamic scholar, Dr Zakir Naik, on Sunday, delivered a lecture at the Moshood Abiola stadium in Abuja.
The controversial Islamic scholar has been in Nigeria since on Monday. Dr. Naik arrived in Sokoto on Monday to honour the 10th annual Usman Danfodiyo week’s celebration.
The Danfodiyo week event was organized by the Sultanate Council and is held annually to commemorate the life and death of the great Islamic reformer who was the founder of the Sokoto Caliphate, Sheikh Usmanu bin Fordiyo.
Dr Naik, who was invited for the year’s event, came along with his son, Fariq Naik, as they toured Nigeria through the ceremony which ended on Thursday.
However, the cleric, after the main event, delivered lectures on “Alqur’an; The Global Necessity” and “The Concept of God in Major World Religions” in Sokoto last Friday and on Saturday in Kwara state.
On Sunday, Sheikh Naik delivered another lecture on Muslim’s choice: Da’wah or Destruction? At the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja.
