Emeka Agbo, the Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, has cast his vote in Polling unit 002, Otulu Primary School, Oru West Local Government Area of the state.
Uzodinma, who is seeking re-election, is the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He is contesting against Senator Samuel Anyanwu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Senator Athan Achonu of the Labour Party (LP).
Meanwhile, officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have arrived at Adult Education Centre polling unit 008 at Owerri municipal council of Imo state.
Preparations are in place for the election process to commence as electoral materials are also available entirely.
According to one of the officials at the unit who spoke with The Punch, the number of expected registered voters is 740.
Also, voting materials have arrived at the polling unit in Ikenegbu Layout Primary School, Owerri Municipal Council in Imo State, while voting has begun at the Imo State Government House Polling unit 001.
