The Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Rivers State Chapter, Ihunwo Chijioke, has revealed that the Labour Party won the elections in the state during the 2023 polls.
According to Ihunwo, the results released by the Independent National Election Commission were doctored.
Ihunwo made the comment while addressing Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders at Rumunduru ward, in Obio-Akpor local government area, on the feud between Governor Sim Fubara and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) minister Nyesom Wike.
He said this is Fubara’s turn to be governor, adding that the incumbent will be the Rivers state chief executive for eight years.
He said Wike should allow his successor to run his government.
His words: “Martins Amaewhule is from Oroigwe. Did he win election? Labour Party won election everywhere. We were the ones that wrote results for PDP.
“Okey Chinda from Elelenwo did not win election. He went to beg Pastor David Ibiyeomie to beg Ndamati of the Labour Party to withdraw his petition at the tribunal.
“I want to assure everybody that we have a governor that loves our people. We have a governor that have human face. No be person wey go use you, dump you.”
