Tinubu Arrives Enugu For Official Visit [Photos]

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, at approximately 1:22 pm today for an official state visit, marking a significant engagement in the Southeast region.

Gists9ja reports that the President arrived aboard a Nigeria Air Force Airbus A330 and was warmly welcomed by an array of government officials and dignitaries.

Among those present to receive him were Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State, Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, Governor Alex Otti of Abia State, Anambra State’s Deputy Governor, and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu. Other notable attendees included former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim, Minister of Works Dave Umahi, and prominent businessman Arthur Eze.

According to a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, President Tinubu’s one-day visit is packed with key developmental activities. He is scheduled to commission several transformative projects initiated under Governor Mbah’s administration.

The projects include the newly completed Enugu International Conference Center, a hallmark of Governor Mbah’s efforts to boost the state’s economic and cultural profile. The President will also inaugurate 30 Enugu Smart Green Schools, part of an ambitious plan to construct 260 such schools across the state, as well as 60 operational Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres out of 260 planned statewide.

Additionally, Tinubu will unveil the state-of-the-art Command and Control Centre, designed to enhance security operations. Other notable projects on the agenda include the commissioning of 90 urban roads within Enugu City, 150 AI-enabled surveillance patrol vehicles, and various rural road networks completed under Governor Mbah’s administration.

The visit highlights the Federal Government’s ongoing commitment to supporting infrastructure development and modernization efforts across Nigeria, reinforcing collaboration between federal and state governments to deliver impactful projects.
