A 37-year-old South African woman, Zukiswa Joyi, has reportedly gotten married after maintaining her decision to remain sexually pure until marriage.
Zukiswa, who has openly shared her journey of sexual purity over the years, tied the knot with her husband during a church wedding on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
Her Lobola ceremony was held on March 28.
Following the wedding, Zukiswa took to Facebook to express gratitude to God for giving her strength during moments when she felt weary, saying the long wait had ultimately been worth it.
Sharing her joy with her followers, she wrote:
“Hitched for life. Jesus has done this. Answered Prayer. He truly Honors those who honor him. The wait was all worth it.”
She added:
“I felt weary, but he strengthened me. Got married a virgin at the age of 37, it’s only possible because of the Spirit of God, but it’s possible.
“Virginity is possible, purity is possible. We don’t have to accept the lie of the enemy. The same grace that restores one when they fall is the same grace that can redeem one from falling. Lord, we are grateful.”
She concluded her post with the hashtags #OfficiallyMrsJili and #OfficiallyAWife.
Zukiswa’s story has attracted attention online, particularly because she had publicly documented her journey and commitment to sexual abstinence before marriage.
