Controversial Nigerian relationship expert and social media personality, Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has reportedly lost her second son, Bryan, while she is in custody.
The development was announced on Friday by the Chief Executive Officer of Isaamira Love Foundation, Amira Agiye, who appealed to Nigerians to support Blessing CEO as she deals with the loss and her ongoing legal challenges.
Agiye said the situation was particularly difficult because Blessing CEO is currently in custody and unable to personally attend to matters surrounding her son’s death.
In a statement, Agiye said she was making the appeal with Blessing CEO’s consent and urged members of the public to show compassion despite their differing opinions about the social media personality and the circumstances of her case.
She said:
“It is sad to announce to you all that Blessing CEO just lost her second son. My name is Amira Agiye. I’m here to appeal on behalf of Blessing CEO, who is currently in custody.
“I understand that people might have different opinions about her and the circumstances surrounding her case. And like everyone of us, she deserves compassion and an opportunity for redemption.”
Agiye also appealed for financial assistance, claiming that Blessing CEO requires ₦20 million to meet bail requirements and another ₦36 million to settle debts owed to individuals who allegedly brought the case against her.
“She needs ₦20 million to meet the bail requirements. She also needs ₦36 million to pay the people she owes who brought the case against her,” she said.
Appealing directly to Nigerians, Agiye urged the public to assist Blessing CEO, particularly following the reported death of her son.
“Please, Nigerians, let’s forgive her for the sake of that boy who is still in the mortuary. With Blessing’s full consent and authorisation, I’m appealing to all Nigerians to help donate so we can help her out of this situation,” she added.
Agiye also played a voice conversation in which Blessing CEO reportedly spoke about the death of her son and expressed hope that she would be released from custody so she could return home to mourn him.
In the audio, she reportedly said:
“My second son, Bryan, was full of life. While in custody, I lost Bryan. I pray this turns out positive so I can leave this place, pick up the pieces of my life and pay my respects to him.”
The reported development has since drawn attention online, with calls for compassion and support for the social media personality as she faces the reported loss of her son while still dealing with her legal situation.
