Cruise With Joe Under Fire Over ‘You Can’t Afford It’ Reply to Follower

Nigerian content creator and businessman Cruise With Joe has come under criticism on social media after responding to a follower with a remark many users described as rude and dismissive.

The controversy began after Joe shared a video showcasing his latest outfit on TikTok. While reacting to the post, one of his followers expressed admiration for his style and asked how they could get the outfit.

The follower wrote: “Boss, I love your outfit. How can I get it?”

Rather than providing information about the outfit, Joe reportedly responded: “You can’t afford it. Focus on thrift.”

The response quickly drew criticism from other TikTok users, who accused the content creator of being disrespectful to someone who had simply complimented his outfit and asked where they could purchase it.

As the backlash grew, Joe deleted the comment. However, its removal did not immediately end the controversy, as screenshots of the exchange had already circulated among users.

Some followers continued to call him out in the comments, questioning his choice of words and arguing that he could have responded to the follower in a more respectful manner.

The incident has since sparked discussions among social media users about how public figures and influencers interact with their followers, particularly when responding to simple questions or compliments.

While Joe has deleted the controversial response, the reaction from users continues to generate conversation across the platform.
