U.S. President Donald Trump has joked about running for president for a fourth time, despite the U.S. Constitution limiting presidents to a maximum of two elected terms.
Speaking at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, Trump made the lighthearted remark while addressing guests at the annual event, which celebrates press freedom and recognizes excellence in journalism.
His comment drew laughter from the audience, as the Constitution’s 22nd Amendment bars any president from serving more than two terms.
The dinner was held three months after this year’s initial event was cancelled following a shooting incident.
