The Nigerian Association of Christian Journalists (NACJ) has announced Dr. George Moghalu as the Keynote Speaker for its forthcoming Annual Integrity Lecture and Award Conference 2026.
The announcement was made to the press over the weekend. In a statement signed by the National President, Dr. Charles Okhai, NACJ described Dr. Moghalu as the unanimous choice after careful consideration of three nominees for the role.
According to Dr. Okhai, the Association is deliberate in selecting its Guest Speaker due to the sensitivity of the conference theme. “Our selection is strictly based on a proven record of integrity and unwavering patriotism,” the statement read.
Dr. Moghalu is a renowned Nigerian politician, businessman, and public administrator with decades of experience in public service and nation building. He is widely regarded as one of Anambra State’s most prominent political figures and was the Labour Party Governorship Candidate for Anambra in 2025.
He is celebrated for his visionary leadership, commitment to good governance, and high sense of integrity. His career spans entrepreneurship, public administration, and active politics.
A major highlight of his public service was his tenure as Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) from 2019 to 2024. During this period, he spearheaded significant reforms in Nigeria’s inland waterways sector, earning him national recognition and multiple awards. He was honoured with the “Most Outstanding Public Servant of the Year Award 2022” for his exemplary service.
In 2024, Dr. Moghalu joined the Labour Party in what he described as a strategic move to offer the people of Anambra an alternative vision anchored on transparency, accountability, patriotism, and integrity.
NACJ expressed confidence that his keynote address at the 2026 conference will inspire fresh conversations and leave a lasting impact on national discourse around integrity in leadership and governance.
The Annual Integrity Lecture and Award Conference 2026 is scheduled to hold in August.
