Governor Alex Otti has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transparent governance and people-centered development, declaring that his government operates independently without the influence of political godfathers.
Addressing residents of Abia State, the governor described his leadership as divinely guided and focused solely on improving the welfare of citizens. He stressed that his administration is still in its early stages and hinted at more impactful projects in the pipeline.
According to Otti, the state is on the verge of unveiling one of its landmark infrastructure projects the Umuahia Bus Central Terminal. The facility, located in Umuahia, is projected to be the largest of its kind in Nigeria, signaling a major upgrade in the state’s transport system and urban development framework.
The governor noted that his team remains committed to delivering visible and practical projects that directly benefit the people, adding that the coming months will showcase even more progress across key sectors.
In his words, he said:
“We want the people of Abia State to understand that this is their government a government without any ‘Godfather,’ a government ordained by God. Our responsibility is clear: to serve the people. But let me also say this we are just getting started. The people have not seen anything yet. Very soon, we will commission the Umuahia Bus Central Terminal, which I’m informed is the largest in the country.”
His remarks underscore a broader push by the administration to reposition Abia through infrastructure development, while reinforcing a message of independence, accountability, and sustained progress.
