Nollywood actor Osita Iheme, popularly known as Pawpaw, has revealed that he currently has no plans to get married.
The 43-year-old actor made this known during an interview with Naija FM, where he explained that he is more focused on living peacefully, supporting the people close to him and enjoying his life than making marriage a priority.
Iheme said he already considers his siblings’ children as his own and regards his extended family as an important part of his life.
He said:
“I’m already 43, I have no plans of getting married. I just want to live my life and help those closer to me. My brothers and sisters have children, whom I consider mine.”
The actor’s comments come amid public interest in his personal life, particularly his decision to remain unmarried at a time when many of his contemporaries have started families.
Osita Iheme was born on February 20, 1982, in Abia State and hails from Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State.
He developed an interest in acting at an early age and participated in church drama before eventually venturing into the Nigerian film industry professionally.
Iheme began appearing in Nollywood productions in the late 1990s and early 2000s but gained widespread recognition following his appearance in the 2002 comedy movie Aki na Ukwa.
The movie also featured fellow actor Chinedu Ikedieze, popularly known as Aki.
Their performances in the film became a major highlight of Nollywood comedy and established the duo as one of the industry’s most recognisable comedy partnerships.
Their on-screen characters, Pawpaw and Aki, subsequently became household names and helped cement both actors’ places in Nigerian pop culture.
