Nigerian singer, Ifunanya Nwangene, has been buried in her hometown in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State following her tragic death.
Gists9ja recalls that Ifunanya Nwangene died after being bitten by a snake on the 31st of January 2026, at her residence in Abuja and her death was confirmed in the Federal Medical Centre, Abuja.
Ifunaya’s death sparked widespread reactions and condolences across social media, as many people described the singer as super-talented, saying she would be remembered for her voice and passion for music.
Her burial marks the final farewell to a young talent whose life was cut short unexpectedly.
Meanwhile, a London-based teacher and culture ambassador, Uche Nworah, has spoken on a disturbing account linked to the movement of the remains of late Ifunanya.
In a Facebook post, Nworah said the details were shared with him directly by Ifunanya’s uncle during a phone conversation.
He explained that he has known the uncle for years through Facebook and decided to share the account to correct some reports already spreading online.
According to him, earlier reports that the singer lived on the ground floor of her Abuja apartment are not true.
He said the uncle stated clearly that Ifunanya lived on the second floor, not the ground floor.
