Supporters of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) staged protests in the United Kingdom as President Bola Tinubu continues his official visit.
The demonstrators gathered at prominent locations across London, including Parliament Square, 10 Downing Street, the Commonwealth Office, and the Nigerian High Commission, where they called for the immediate release of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu.
Protest Message and Symbolism
In viral videos circulating online, the protesters were seen holding placards with inscriptions such as “Free Mazi Nnamdi Kanu,” while chanting messages directed at the Nigerian government.
Some demonstrators declared that President Tinubu does not deserve a ceremonial welcome, emphasizing their stance during the March 18 protest.
Participants were also dressed in symbolic attire, including red caps, while waving Biafran flags to underscore their demands and identity.
