At the Labour Party rally held on Tuesday in Anambra State, the wife of Peter Obi, Margaret Obi was addressing the large crowd at the rally when she spoke about the speculations that elections won’t hold in the southeast.
Recall that there have been some claims and speculations about elections not holding or not being peaceful in the southeast due to the challenges of insecurity in the region.
While speaking at the rally, she told the people of Anambra State to ensure they have their voters card to vote in the fast approaching election, she described their PVC as their weapon in birthing a new Nigeria. She also noted that elections would be peaceful in the southeast and those saying there won’t be election in the southeast, they would prove them wrong.
She said;
“Please I’m urging each and every one of you, go and collect your PVC, your PVC is the only weapon we have to change Nigeria, to give birth to a new Nigeria. Please collect your PVC and come out and vote! Anybody telling you that there won’t be election in the southeast we will prove them wrong. There’s going to be election and it would be peaceful and at the end Labour Party would have victory to the glory of God.”
