Emmanuel Isaac Asuquo, the brother of a lady, Esther, who died at the Agete Hotel in Abuja recently, has demanded for transparency in the account of the circumstances of her death.
Mr Asuquo is also seeking justice for her death. He narrated to us how he was called to come to Abuja on the premise that his sister was unconscious.
He said that when he got to Abuja, he was taken to a mortuary, when he identified the body of his sister. He claimed that the hotel has failed to provide a CCTV footage, showing the face of the person, his sister was alleged to have come to the hotel with.
Asuquo claimed that the hotel wanted to put the label of a sex worker on his sister in order to distance itself from the case.
However, the hotel management in a statement narrated its own side of the story and noted that it is unfair to pin the death of the deceased on the hotel.
