Rodgers’ position as Leicester head coach was judged to have become unsalvageable following the club’s 17th top-flight defeat of the season.
The 50-year-old oversaw 204 matches in charge of Leicester in all competitions and leaves having lead the club to a first-ever FA Cup title in 2021.
Leicester will now search for a suitable replacement to take charge until the end of the season with ten games left to salvage their Premier League future.
