Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, is celebrating his 62nd birthday with internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Gists9ja recalls that Obi had earlier said he would not celebrate his birthday due to the current hardships Nigerians are going through but instead will visit the IDPs to encourage them not to lose hope.
On Wednesday, he commiserated with the displaced persons over the loss of their loved ones and prayed for the repose of their souls. He also urged them to be resilient in the face of overwhelming grief and sorrow.
Obi also called on the Federal Government and security agencies to bring an end to the bloodshed in the country.
