Niger: Charly Boy Reacts As America Advises President Tinubu On What To Do

Veteran Nigerian entertainer, Charles Oputa popularly known as Charly Boy has said that the United States of America are among those making the situation in the Niger Republic worse.

The veteran stated this amidst America’s encouragement to president Bola Tinubu to apply more pressure in ensuring that democracy is restored in the embattled country

Recall that the the United States Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, had underscored the importance of pressure in ensuring that the Niger junta releases President Mohamed Bazoum, who has been held in his residence since he was ousted by the military on July 26.

He commended the leadership of the Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States, under Tinubu, for the decisions taken to reinstate the toppled Nigerien leader.

Blinken’s spokesperson, Matthew Miller, said this in a statement on Monday.

Speaking via Twitter, Charly Boy stated that America was being hypocritical in the way they were handling the Niger issue.

According to him, “I just dey Laff Americans, like say we hv no idea what they are up to.

“Meanwhile dem just dey leave the real issue, bcos dey are part of the people ruining Niger

“I just can’t stand the hypocrisy of the West. Thank God he is punishing dem with the greatest con man of all times. America has just been Trumped.

“When I look at the reporting of Niger on CNN how it has been weaved around Russia deceiving witless Africans into their orbit.”
