On the night of Friday night/Saturday morning, a devastating earthquake caused extensive damage in Morocco. Given the tragedy, the players of the Moroccan national team have decided to donate blood to help those affected by the disaster.
As can be read in Achraf’s tweet, the players also wanted to encourage the population to donate in these critical times for the country. As well-known footballers, they have set an example for everyone who can to do the same.
Morocco game called off
The match scheduled for Saturday has been called off. Morocco were due to play their final Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Liberia. Morocco have already qualified for the finals of the competition and Liberia are out of the running.
