Sensational street-pop singer, Portable, born Habeeb Oyegbile, has dropped a heartfelt tribute to his industry counterpart Mohbad, who passed away under controversial circumstances earlier this month.

In the record dubbed, Alimi, the singer floats over soulful instrumentals as he dirges his late colleague, extolling his great impact in the industry and on people’s lives. He also uses the song as a portal to reflect upon themes of life including loyalty, trust, and friendship, among others.

The singer, who has had his fair share of controversies within the music industry is seen advising his contemporaries, as he urges everyone to collectively support and care for each other.

Mohbad, a Nigerian singer and songwriter, most notable for hits including Kor Por Ke, Feel Good, Ask About Me, among others, passed away on September 12. His death is currently being investigated by the country’s law enforcement agencies, with multiple speculations pointing towards murder and even sparking nationwide candlelight processions and global adulation.
