BREAKING: Tinubu Arrives Netherlands On State Visit

President Bola Tinubu has arrived in the Netherlands on a state visit.

During his visit, President Tinubu is expected to engage in high-level meetings with Dutch government officials, business leaders, and representatives from various sectors. 

The discussions are expected to cover a wide range of topics, including trade, investment, security cooperation, and cultural exchange.

โ€œPresident Tinubu will engage in high-level discussions with the Prime Minister, as well as hold separate meetings with His Royal Majesty, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Kingdom. The Queen is the United Nations Secretary-Generalโ€™s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA).

โ€œWhile in the Netherlands, the President will participate in the Nigerian-Dutch Business and Investment Forum that will bring together heads of conglomerates and organizations in both countries,โ€ the Presidency revealed in a statement signed by Tinubuโ€™s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.

Tinubu will engage in high-level discussions with the Prime Minister and separate meetings with His Royal Majesty, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Kingdom.โฃ

Also, the Nigerian-Dutch Business and Investment Forum will bring together heads of conglomerates and organisations in both countries to explore opportunities for collaboration and partnerships, especially in agriculture and water management, towards innovative solutions for sustainable farming practices.โฃ

Ngelale said there will be extensive discussions with the Dutch officials on port management operations for which they have world-renowned expertise.โฃ

After his engagements in the Netherlands, the President will attend a special World Economic Forum meeting scheduled for April 28-29 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.โฃ

The WEF would focus on Global Collaboration, Growth and Energy for Development.โฃ

It will be his second visit to the Gulf state in five months.โฃ

Tinubu and his entourage will use the opportunity of the gathering of over 1,000 leaders from business, government, and academia to discuss his Renewed Hope Agenda for the country.โฃ

The President was accompanied by some ministers and other senior government officials.โฃ

The Netherlands is the fourth European state President Tinubu has visited since assuming office 11 months ago and his 18th foreign destination.โฃ

โฃSo far, he has visited Paris, France (thrice); London, the United Kingdom; Bissau, Guinea-Bissau (twice); Nairobi, Kenya; Porto Norvo, Benin Republic; New Delhi, India; Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates; New York, the United States of America; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Berlin, Germany; Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; Dakar, Senegal and Doha, Qatar.
