Confederation Cup: EFCC FC Beat Osun United 4-2

In the ongoing Federation Cup, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Football Club, EFCC FC emerged victorious with a 4-2 win over Osun United FC.

The EFCC FC team dominated their opponent, ultimately winning in a penalty shootout at the Akwa Stadium in Anambra State on Wednesday.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission made this known in a post shared on its Facebook page in the late hours of Friday.

Recall that EFCC FC won the F.C.T FA Cup to secure a ticket to this season`s Confederation Cup.

Securing three points against Osun United FC, the team has qualified for the round of 32 which brings it a step closer to the finals.

The post read, “The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC Football Club, EFCC FC, on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, defeated their counterparts Osun United FC in the ongoing Federation Cup in a crucial match that ended 4-2.

“The game, which took place at the Akwa Stadium in Anambra State in front of sport lovers and cheerleaders, saw the EFCC team defeat their opponent in a penalty shootout which ended 4-2 after a breathtaking 1-1 draw during full time of play.”
