Yesterday, 17th January 2025 will go down in history as the day Sir Azuka Okwuosa (Chinyelugo) formally informs his Ward (APC Ward 3 Oraifite), APC Ekwusigo Local Government, APC Anambra South Zonal Executives, State Working Committee members of APC Anambra South extraction in separate meetings with their Stakeholders, of his Campaign Council’s agreement for him to shelve his Gubernatorial aspiration based on stakeholders’ advise and go for Anambra South Senatorial bye-election race; yet another sacrifice he accepted in good fate for the good of Anambra All Progressives Congress.
Describing Hon. Sir Azuka Okwuosa as a great pillar in Ward 3 Oraifite, the Ward Executives assured him of their readiness to walk through thick and thin in ensuring the fruitfulness of his Senatorial aspiration for they have no doubts of his all inclusiveness style of leadership which they have experienced overtime. At this meeting, all the 27 man Ward Executives and Stakeholders were present, notably Ngwube Sunday Mathew – Ward Chairman, Chinonoye Nnamdi – Ward Secretary, Mrs. Ugochukwu Amaka – Ward Woman Leader and Okechukwu Onuigbo – Ward Youth Leader.
Similarly, in the meeting with APC Ekwusigo Local Government and their Stakeholders, Chinyelugo was described as an Excellent Unifier who leaves no stone unturned in supporting them at the local Government level assuring him of their support all way.
Those who attended the meeting were the 27 man Executives, 12 ward Chairmen and 15 Stakeholders notably, Chief Goddy Offor jp (Onowu Agbaim Oraifite)- Local Government Chairman, Sir Ignatius Ibekwe – Local Government Secretary , Mrs. Chinelo Okafor – Local Government Woman Leader and Okey Ikediugwu – Local Government Youth Leader.
Likewise, at the meeting held with the APC Anambra South Zonal Executives, APC State Working Committee members of APC Anambra South Extraction and Stakeholders, after Chinyelugo and members of AzukaOkwuosa Campaign Council had taken turns in informing the invited of the purpose of the meeting, all who spoke were of the opinion that in order to avoid rancor, the party will sit as one and support whosoever is picked as the party’s Candidate such that Anambra South APC will team up and go to the polls as one family.
Consequent upon this, Chinyelugo assured all present that he will reach out to Dozie Ikedife Jnr. who he refers to as his younger brother.
Notable amongst those who attended the meeting were Hon. Izu Okeke (APC Anambra South Zonal Chairman), Hon. Chidi Orji(Omemma), Anambra APC Secretary, Hon. Kenechukwu Udechukwu, Mrs Chinyere Ezechukwu(Melody)( Zonal Woman Leader), Hon. Theo Nnorom, Hon Frank Ewuzie, Abiola Nze, and a host of others.
It is expected that Sir Azuka Okwuosa (Chinyelugo), a core party man will do well at the polls and Anambra South will be safe in his hands.
