Pastor David Ibiyeomie, founder of Salvation Ministries, has urged Nigerians who are considering traveling to the United States to reconsider and stay in their home country.
He addressed the common belief that relocating abroad will automatically improve one’s life, emphasizing that every country, including the U.S., has its own set of challenges.
During his sermon, Pastor Ibiyeomie pointed out that many Nigerians believe they will find success and ease in foreign countries, but the reality is that no place is free from difficulties. He challenged the idea that leaving Nigeria guarantees comfort, stating, “Where are you running to? Is there no challenge there? There’s no free lunch anywhere. Wherever you go, you will still face challenges.”
The pastor specifically mentioned the United States, suggesting that even Americans are facing their own struggles. “Even those in America are crying,” he noted. “Ask your brothers in America—they are crying. The situation in America is even tougher than in Nigeria.”
He further emphasized his point by comparing the heat in Nigeria to that in America, saying, “America is hot! If it’s hot here, it’s hotter there. So those who ran away from Nigeria to America, what are they going to do now?”
Pastor Ibiyeomie concluded his message by urging Nigerians to face the challenges in their own country instead of fleeing abroad. “Please, face it where you are,” he advised, stressing that success requires confronting challenges, no matter where one is located.
