OTUOCHA- Rep Member, Hon Peter Aniekwe (Macpee), has facilitated the training of 33 men and women of Anambra East and West Federal Constituency on Human Capital Development and strategic Empowerment on Technology incubation.

The gesture is part of Hon Peter Aniekwe’s desire to improve the economic well-being of his constituents at the grassroots level irrespective of Political affiliation. The Lawmaker said the move is also aimed at providing the necessary skills for people in rural communities to thrive economically using Laptops and other Technological devices.

Hon Peter Aniekwe who spoke through Anambra West Labour Party Chairman, Hon. Sylvester Nnalue, at the venue of the training program in his Constituency Office in Anambra East said the skill acquisition training is meant to address the growing issue of unemployment, especially at the grassroots level. This programme is for the people of Anambra East and West. You can see that all parties were accommodated in the programme.

Hon Peter Aniekwe noted that the training, which brought together men and women from Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, will enable beneficiaries to leverage on technology for business growth, e-commerce, and digital marketing through the usage of their laptops and handsets.

“I intend to expose our citizens at the grassroots to the use of their smartphones to create wealth for themselves. Our citizens at the local level will have skills to thrive in today’s technology-driven world,” he said.
Also speaking at the event, the Consultant who trained the beneficiaries, Rev Fr Benjamin Odika, A Catholic Priest working at St Joseph Parish Umuawulu, said the training was designed to teach people at the grassroots how to make use of their laptops and handsets to turn around their fortunes.

According to him, “We are here in partnership with Rep Member, Hon Peter Aniekwe to train the people of Anambra East and West Federal Constituency at the grassroots on the use of smartphones to create legal wealth for themselves.
“The Laptops which will be distributed to them are not just for browsing alone, they can be used for wealth creation through digital marketing within the comfort of their homes. Generally, the idea is to reduce poverty.
“The world has gone global, and we must train our people to acquaint themselves with technology as the fastest means of making money, legally,” he said.
Some of the Beneficiaries thanked Hon Peter Aniekwe for finding them worthy to be part of the training. Many of them said that they learnt a lot from this training and they are going to make use of it.
Highlights of the event is the distribution of Laptops to the 33 beneficiaries and the Sum of Fifty Thousand Naira to each of the beneficiaries.
