Abia Warriors have kicked off preparations for the 2025/26 season.
The Umuahia-based club secured a third-place finish in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) last season, earning them a spot in the CAF Confederation Cup.
This will be Abia Warriors’ first-ever appearance in a continental tournament.
Imama Amapakabo’s team is set to begin their CAF Confederation Cup journey from the preliminary round, prompting an early start to their preparations.
The initial phase of training will focus on the current squad, with new signings expected to link up with the team later on.
Meanwhile, the winner of the President Federation Cup final between Kwara United and Abakaliki FC will also secure a spot in the continental competition.
Nigeria is yet to achieve a major triumph in the CAF Confederation Cup.
