President Bola Tinubu, on Monday, introduced Alex, whom he described as a former neighbour and schoolmate during his time in Chicago, United States.
Tinubu remarked that neither he nor Alex ever imagined they would one day become a president and a successful businessman, respectively.
The President made the comment while speaking about Alex during the launch of 2,000 tractors and other equipment under the Federal Government’s Agricultural Mechanization Programme in Abuja.
According to him, Alex is originally from Belarus.
“To all of you, Alex was a close neighbour of mine, and we attended the same school in Chicago,” Tinubu said.
“We never imagined that I would one day become President of Nigeria and that Alex would go on to become a successful businessman from Belarus.”
“I genuinely commend the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security for their proactive approach in tackling the food crisis and ensuring stability within our food system.”
